YouCan Facebook ads: what to connect first

· 6 min read

For YouCan Facebook ads, connect things in this order: the Meta pixel in your YouCan store settings first, so every visit and order reaches Meta; then, optionally, YouCan's Conversions API app; then your ad account and store side by side, so ad spend sits next to confirmed and delivered orders. Then decide which order statuses you track.

What should I connect first on a YouCan store?

YouCan is an e-commerce platform used by many cash-on-delivery sellers in Morocco and across MENA. Running Meta ads for a YouCan store has two halves: Meta needs to see what happens on your store to optimize delivery, and you need to see what happens to the orders after Meta stops looking. The order below gets both halves right before you spend more.

How do I add the Meta pixel to YouCan?

The Meta pixel is a piece of code on your store that tells Meta what visitors do. On YouCan you don't paste code; you paste the pixel's ID. YouCan's help center gives these steps (YouCan Help Center, How to create and link Meta Pixel to the YouCan store, checked on 2026-10-04):

  1. In Meta Business Settings, open Data Sources › Datasets and Pixels, click Add, name the pixel and connect it to your ad account.
  2. Copy the Pixel ID.
  3. In your YouCan store dashboard, go to Settings › Online › Facebook Pixel Settings, paste the Pixel ID, click Add, then Save.
  4. Browse your store like a customer, add a product to the cart or place a test order, wait about 30 minutes, and check the Overview page in Meta's Events Manager.

Do I need the Conversions API on YouCan?

It helps, but it comes second. The Conversions API sends events from a server to Meta instead of from the visitor's browser; Meta describes it as a connection between an advertiser's marketing data, including website events and offline conversions, and Meta (Meta for Developers, checked on 2026-10-04). Browser blockers can stop a pixel; they can't stop a server.

YouCan offers a Facebook Conversion API app. Its help page lists the setup: install the app, enter the store name, paste the Pixel ID and an access token generated in Events Manager, and choose whether to track by Purchase or Lead (YouCan Help Center, How to use Facebook Conversion API, checked on 2026-10-04). When the pixel and the API send the same purchase, Meta only counts it once if both carry the same event name and event ID (Meta for Developers, checked on 2026-10-04).

How do I see YouCan orders next to Meta ad spend?

Meta's report stops at the purchase. On a cash-on-delivery store, the money arrives days later, only for orders that were confirmed, shipped and delivered. To see what your ads really cost, you need the store's order statuses next to the ad spend, for the same days. Our guide to reading Meta results for COD stores explains the numbers; here is how to set it up in Tempomat.

  1. Switch to the brand the store belongs to, and set the brand's timezone to the store's (for Morocco, Africa/Casablanca). YouCan's API doesn't give a store timezone, so the store's days are the brand's days.
  2. Connect Meta in Settings › Platforms and assign the ad account to the brand.
  3. In Settings › Platforms › YouCan, click Connect YouCan, log in to YouCan as the store owner, pick the store and approve. Finish within 10 minutes of clicking Connect.
  4. Ask in chat: "What's my confirmation rate and delivery rate over the last 30 days?" or "What did each delivered order cost me in Meta ads last week?"

Tempomat then reads the store's orders and computes the cash-on-delivery funnel in code: orders, confirmed, shipped, delivered and returned, with cost per delivered order across the brand's Meta, TikTok and Google Ads spend. Your products sync too, so you can pick one as context when you ask a question or make a creative. Buyer names and phone numbers stay hidden in chat, and any change to an order, a live product's price or its visibility asks for your approval first.

Which YouCan order statuses should I track?

YouCan orders carry three kinds of status, and sellers can add their own. The documented ones are below (YouCan developer docs, order statuses, checked on 2026-10-04).

YouCan's documented order statuses
KindValuesWorth knowing
Generalopen, closed, processed, canceled-by-sellerWe count processed as confirmed
Shippingunfulfilled, processing, shipped, fulfilled, canceledYouCan defines fulfilled as "Order shipped and delivered"
Paymentpending, paid, captured, unpaid, refundedWe count a paid cash-on-delivery order as delivered

YouCan also supports custom order statuses "based on its context" (YouCan developer docs, custom statuses, checked on 2026-10-04). Many sellers add words like "no answer", "confirmé" or "retour". Track at least four moments: confirmed by phone, shipped, delivered and returned. Tempomat recognises common French and English words for each and lists any status it can't place, so you can tell it once what "rappel" means in your store.

Once the funnel is in place, the usual next steps are a weekly report per brand and a look at why ROAS moved when it does. The features page lists every integration, including Shopify and Lightfunnels.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add a Facebook pixel to my YouCan store?

Create the pixel in Meta Business Settings under Data Sources, copy its ID, then in your YouCan dashboard go to Settings › Online › Facebook Pixel Settings, paste the ID, click Add and Save. Check Events Manager after a test order.

Should I turn on automatic event tracking in Meta for YouCan?

No. YouCan says its integration sends the essential events once the Pixel ID is saved, and that also enabling Meta's automatic tracking or manual events can create duplicate events.

Why does Meta show more purchases than my YouCan delivered orders?

Meta counts the order when it is placed. On cash on delivery, some orders are cancelled at confirmation, not answered, refused or returned, and Meta never hears about it. Compare Meta's purchases with confirmed and delivered orders for the same days.

Can Tempomat change my YouCan orders?

Only with your approval. Reading orders, products and the funnel needs no approval. Any status change, fulfilment, coupon, price change on a visible product or publishing asks you first, and buyer details stay hidden in chat.

Which account should connect the YouCan store?

The store owner's. Log in to YouCan as the owner when you click Connect YouCan in Tempomat, pick the store and approve the permissions.
