# Facebook ads report template: the weekly client report

> A Facebook ads report template for weekly client reporting: the six sections to include, the metrics to show, and how to send it on a schedule.

A good Facebook ads report template answers three questions in the first screen: what did we spend, what did it bring back, and what changed since last week. Build it once with six fixed sections, compare every number with the week before, and schedule it per client so Monday starts with reading, not rebuilding.

## What should a weekly Facebook ads report include?

A **weekly ads report** is a short, repeatable summary of one ad account's last full week (Monday to Sunday), compared with the week before. The client should get the answer in ten seconds and the detail if they want it. These six sections, in this order, do that.

1. **Headline numbers.** Spend, revenue or purchases, ROAS and cost per purchase, each with its change against the previous week.
2. **Goal progress.** The number the client actually signed up for (target ROAS, max CPA or monthly budget) and where the week landed against it.
3. **What changed, in one paragraph.** Which campaign moved the total and why: spend, auction cost, creative or tracking. No numbers that aren't in the tables.
4. **Campaigns table.** Every campaign that spent, sorted by spend, with ROAS and CPA next to it.
5. **Creatives.** The top ads with thumbnails, so the client sees what is working, not just a name.
6. **Next week.** Two or three planned changes, each tied to a row above.

> **Same columns, same order, every week:** Clients learn where to look. A report that changes shape every Monday gets skimmed; one that doesn't gets read.

## Which metrics belong in a client report?

Fewer than you think. Each metric earns its place by answering a question the client asks. Everything else can sit in the PDF appendix or wait for the monthly review.

*Metrics for a weekly client report*

| Metric | What it answers | Show it as |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Spend | Did we spend what we planned? | Total, with change vs last week |
| Purchases and revenue | What did it bring in? | Totals, with change |
| ROAS | What came back for each unit spent? (revenue ÷ spend) | 3.42x, with change |
| CPA | What did one sale cost? (spend ÷ purchases) | Money, with change |
| CTR and CPM | Is the ad tiring, or is the auction pricier? | Only in the campaigns table |
| Hook rate and hold rate | Do people stop and keep watching the video? | Only in the creatives section |

If the client's revenue lands in their store rather than on the Meta report, for example a cash-on-delivery shop, add the store's view next to Meta's. Our guide to [reading Meta results for COD stores](https://tempomat.tech/blog/meta-results-for-cod-stores) explains which numbers to use.

## Which report templates does Tempomat have?

Tempomat ships eight report templates. Each one pulls the data from Meta's API, computes the totals and ratios in code, and lays them out as tiles, charts and tables. The AI writes the words around them and is never asked to invent a figure. Two of them map straight onto the weekly client report.

*Report templates*

| Template | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| Full account overview | KPIs with changes, ROAS goal progress, daily spend and ROAS, campaigns by spend, top creatives |
| Weekly creative analysis | Ads ranked by spend with hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CPA and ROAS |
| Last 30 days performance | KPIs vs the previous 30 days, daily trend, top and bottom five campaigns by ROAS |
| Why did my results drop? | This period vs the one before, down to campaigns, ads and placements |
| Winning ads analysis | Top ads by ROAS and what they have in common |
| Budget pacing | Month-to-date spend against the monthly budget, and campaigns pacing over or under |
| Audience breakdown | Performance by age, gender, country and placement |
| Meta account audit | Structure, budgets, audiences, placements, frequency and tracking, scored |

For most clients, "Full account overview" on a weekly schedule is the report. Add "Weekly creative analysis" for clients who care about the ads themselves, and "Budget pacing" near month end.

## How do I send the report every Monday?

1. Switch to the client's brand. Schedules, reports and ad accounts all belong to a brand, so one client's report can't pick up another client's account.
2. Open Plan › Reports › Scheduled and click New schedule.
3. Pick the template, the ad account, Weekly, the day, the time and the timezone (the brand's by default).
4. Add the recipients: your team, the client, anyone with an email address, up to 20 per schedule.
5. Save. Each week the report covers the previous Monday to Sunday in that timezone.

Each run saves the report in the brand's gallery and emails it with a short summary, three headline numbers with their change, an Open report link and the PDF attached. A run costs 5 credits. If the workspace is out of credits that week, the send is skipped rather than failed; after three failures in a row the schedule pauses itself and owners and admins get an email. You can also skip a single upcoming send, for a holiday week for example, without touching the schedule.

*Scheduled reports per plan*

| Plan | Scheduled reports | Brands |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Starter | 5 | 3 |
| Growth | 25 | 10 |
| Agency | unlimited | unlimited |

One limit to know: a schedule reports on one ad account. A client with two accounts gets two schedules, or one report built in chat that covers both.

## Can't I just schedule reports in Meta Ads Manager?

You can, and for a plain table it is a fine choice. Meta Ads Reporting lets you save a report, "schedule recurring reports", and export it as an .xlsx or .csv file or share it as a link ([Meta Business Help Center](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/258751574748790) and [export guide](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/276601619787641), both checked on 2026-10-04). What it doesn't do is write the paragraph of what changed, show the client's goal next to the result, or put the store's numbers beside Meta's. That is the part Tempomat adds; see the [features page](https://tempomat.tech/features) for the rest.

## Frequently asked questions

**What is the best Facebook ads report template for clients?**

One that opens with spend, revenue, ROAS and CPA against the previous week, then the client's goal, a short explanation of what changed, a campaigns table, the top creatives and next week's plan. Keep the same sections every week.

**Which date range should a weekly ads report cover?**

The last full week, Monday to Sunday, in the client's timezone, compared with the week before. Partial weeks mix days with different delivery and make the changes misleading.

**Can I send a scheduled report to a client who has no account?**

Yes. Recipients can be any email address. They get the summary, the headline numbers, a link and the full report as a PDF.

**How much does a scheduled report cost in Tempomat?**

Each run costs 5 credits, the same as saving a report from chat. Plans include monthly credits; the pricing page lists them.

**Build the report once** Pick a template, schedule it per brand, and let Monday's report arrive on its own. Plan limits are on the [pricing page](https://tempomat.tech/pricing).
